An AI officer for your fleet

LODESTAR is a free, open-source mod for X4: Foundations. An AI officer that sees what is happening in your game and tells you what to do next — in the game’s own chat, in the hint box, out loud, and with a guidance line to wherever it sends you.

What it does

It is watching
the same game
you are

Sees your game live Your ship, hull and shields, your credits, your stations’ accounts and stock, who in your sector buys what you make, the stations around you, nearby hostiles, and your warships and carriers — refreshed every 20 seconds.
Calls things out as they happen A ship or station under attack, a ship lost, a jump into a new sector.
Answers inside the game The chat window, the tutorial-style hint box, and a logbook entry you can read back later.
Guides you there When it sends you to a station, a gate or a highway, the game draws a guidance line to it, like a mission.
Talks, and listens It can speak its answers out loud, and you can talk to it by voice.
“What should I do next?” It picks one concrete step: danger first, then money that is stuck, then a trade it can see, then growth, then exploration.

How it works

Three pieces,
all on your PC

1 · The mod Adds the starts and a bridge that streams your game’s state to a small companion app. It needs the community Mod Support APIs by SirNukes.
2 · The companion app Runs on your PC, reads what the bridge sends, and decides what to say.
3 · Your own key The officer is an AI and it runs on the Grok API with your key. Your key never leaves your machine.
