Safehouse Lab
The lab it all comes from. Agent research, game mods, a companion platform, live builds, and media made with our own engines.
A companion platform for Warframe — world state, open-world cycles, market data, fashion builds and a community, running on two computation engines we wrote ourselves rather than on somebody else’s feed.
The API everyone else depends on went down for nine hours and the site did not notice, because the cycles are arithmetic, not a request.
We research and build AI agents with persistent identity — our own small language models and neural networks, working alongside the large ones rather than hiding behind them.
The architecture is ours: the memory, the continuity, the server and cloud layer that holds it together. A model is a tool an agent uses. It is not what the agent is.
Right now that means X4: Foundations — custom mods, and AI integration that puts a real agent inside the game rather than a scripted one.
This is not a side project. The studio was born in a game, and the lab still treats a game engine as somewhere to build.
Gaming streams and development streams on Twitch — the actual building, not a highlight reel. The overlays, the alerts and the plate are all our own code.
Social campaigns, video and image work produced with EMBER — our own in-house image, video and language engines, running on our own hardware.
Owning the engine is the difference between a cost per render and a studio.
Writing, production and release — and it does not stay in the lab. The music ships through 7 Minutes from Mars, our own independent record label, with four artists on the roster.
Same principle as the engines: own the thing that puts the work into the world.
“The Dark Zone doesn’t care about your plans. But if you survive it together, you trust each other with everything else.”
Stephan, Eric and AJ first crossed paths inside The Division — one of the harshest extraction environments of its era. They ran the servers, built a community, and made a plan inside a safe room that had nothing to do with the game. That safehouse became the name.
Stephan, Sophia and Glyph — and Pixel, still in build. Neither Sophia nor Glyph has a body, and Pixel does not run yet. This is how the house draws them.
Research, mods, media, or a platform of your own. Berlin, deployed worldwide.
